thanks Rob I did that some ringtones crossed over to be used as alarm tone but others didn’t (yet they show as normal ringtones) not sure what the issue is…weird …may start from scratch

newbie here… anyone know how to add an alarm ringtone to the HTC magic (the ones in the phone are painful especially the Rooster) doesn’t appear to be an option to download a tune for an alarm???. TIA

As somebody who does photography, and I use the manual stuff a fair bit. The Canon, for the price they ask, is a little lacking considering its the same price as a low end SLR which is better.

Whilst its great for the amateur pretending to be into photography, a real amateur will find the limitations somewhat frustrating trying to get that f3 nice Bokeh (blurred) background whilst up close to something like a child or cat among other things.

For anyone who just wants a really great point n shoot with great quality and photos, then this is ideal.

Hmm, I am kind of interested in getting one of the Mino HD’s, but I’m kind of put off a bit by the review page on Amazon: OK, the Mino has 4 out of 5 stars for 426 reviews, but 55 of those reviewers give it one star with comments about how it froze up or went dead just hours, weeks, or months after buying it; the same thing happening with replacements. (55 out of 426 reviews is just over 12% unhappy customers – a fairly high percentage I think).

The next question: why are we getting the Mino HD 1st Generation with 60 Min recording time when the 2nd generation is out in the States with 120 mins recording time and (allegedly) better picture quality? Are Cisco fobbing off all their old stock onto Australia and New Zealand? At least when a new iPod or iPhone comes out we’re getting the newest generation in sync with the rest of the world.

ps, I notice that JB HI-FI is selling the JVC for $377 in their latest catalog and Harvey Norman is selling a competing Samsung product for $289 I think.

Interesting… I replaced the pump motor a year or so back. I will call the service shop and ask about this. I might suggest that they should have done this last time and see if they replace the motor contorller on warranty or something?

Hey Vaughan, have you had the motors (main drive and pump motor) tested? When I replaced my motor controller, I had the parts shop test the pump motor, because they said a worn motor is often the culprit.

I have a samrtdrive 051 that has blown two motor controllers in two months…. what would cause that to happen? Is there a fault in the motor? (The 4 amp fuse in the contorller also blows so obviously some big current being drawn?) I have been running the machine on a surge protector after the first controller blew – this didnt trip so its not dirty power related. What gives?!
